Do sellers pay a commission on items listed on Veracity Connect?

Yes. Veracity Connect retains a small percentage of the final sale price. The percentage is agreed before the listing is set live and ranges from 10% to 20% of the sale price based on the level of services provided by the Veracity Connect team to create the listings, the total number and value of listings created by the seller and other variables. My offer has been accepted, where do I send payment?

All payments are received by Veracity Connect. A Sales Agreement with payment submission options is sent to the buyer when the seller accepts their offer.

What are the terms and conditions of transactions completed with Veracity Connect?

Our standard terms and conditions can be viewed here. If both buyer and seller agree, either the buyers or sellers standard agreement may also be used to govern the transaction and will be documented and retained by Veracity Connect.

How does Veracity Connect handle my Private information?

Veracity takes privacy very seriously. Our website, the Veracity team and all our members must adhere to our Privacy Policy.

Who is eligible to become a Veracity Connect member?

Any company that buys or sells used machinery, surplus equipment and materials used by power plants, energy companies and others in the utility industry may buy and sell assets on Veracity Connect. A company email must be on record and all participants must agree to our standard terms and conditions.

What type of items are sold on Veracity Connect?

At any given time, hundreds of assets are listed on Veracity Connect including a wide variety of used machinery, surplus equipment and excess materials. Typical listings include the following:

air compressors and dryers
breakers and switchgear
centrifugal pumps
compressors
electric meters
fuel and other storage tanks
gear reducers
generators
glass insulators
HVAC materials
pipes and fittings
transformers
turbines
utility poles

How do I find out the price of an item available on Veracity Connect?

Veracity Connect will publish pricing when available, however not all items will have pricing. We will ask the seller for their target sales price so we can help them understand if their desired price is in line with what we understand to be the fair market value and so we can help buyers who make offers understand the viability of their offer. The best way to understand the price of an item is to use the Request Quote button to get emailed listing details. At that time you have an option to make an offer in the Message field. You can also contact the Veracity Connect team to discuss a potential offer.

What kind of commission do I pay Veracity Connect for listing my item?

The commission earned by Veracity Connect varies depending on the volume and value of your listings and the services or assistance you would like from Veracity Connect. Your commission will be smaller if you can provide the photos and information about your listings on your own. Commissions earned by Veracity Connect ranges from 10% to 20% of the transaction value.

If you need help, Veracity Connect is also available to come on site and help you take inventory of your surplus equipment, understand its potential value, and get it listed. In exchange for those services, Veracity Connect will earn a higher commission. All commissions are paid only after your items have sold and they are deducted directly from the payments received by your buyer.

How many members do you have?

As of January 2020, our membership consisted of approximately 10,000 members from 5000 companies, with a e-mailing list of over 5000 contacts.

My item is no longer available, how do I have it removed?

If you have sold your item or no longer wish to have it listed please contact us immediately and we will have your listing removed ASAP.

Will the team at Veracity Connect help me create my listings?

How do I know if there will be potential buyers for my equipment before I go through the trouble of creating my listings?

Veracity Connect maintains information on the interest areas of our members. We use that information to pro-actively send listings to potential buyers. If you have questions about the types of equipment or material that may be available to our membership, please contact us and we can provide insight based on a quick query or our database and/or analysis of recently sold items.
